This just in.... birds can (probably) see magnetic fields! This is a pretty straight-forward solution to the question of how migratory birds know where they are headed all of the time. How freakin' freaky!!! This is another one of those cases in science where the simplest solution is the correct one. We probably didn't consider this possibility for a long time because our ideas about perception are (understandably) homo-centric. This is why it's good for some scientists to do mind-bending drugs. Heightened sensory experiences and synethstesia help people get a more objective view of their own perception processes. This awareness fosters one's ability to imagine other sensory realities.To the right: Bumble Beeeee Vision!!!
